FEATURE: MORE SYRIAN REFUGEE FAMILIES DUE SOON TO FIND SAFE HAVEN IN WORCESTERSHIRE

A second group of Syrian refugees is due to start arriving in Worcestershire shortly.

County and district councillors agreed earlier this year to house up to 50 more people fleeing the ongoing conflict in Syria. The first arrivals are due in the autumn.

There are currently 14 refugee families in Worcestershire housed under the Syrian Resettlement Programme, including families living in Kidderminster.

Here we look back a year, when the anniversary of the arrival of the first families was marked in a multimedia feature by Worcestershire County Council, written and produced by Wyrelife editor Jane Haynes.
