A tale of love and slavery is brought to life by the talented members of Kidderminster Operatic & Dramatic Society in a show starting tomorrow.
Thoroughly Modern Millie, a rom-com set in 1920s New York, opens at the Rose Theatre in Kidderminster.
The society, founded in 1916, is celebrating this year after being nominated for three awards at the regional National Operatic and Dramatic Awards – for best drama production (Nell Gwynn), best youth production (Cats) and best poster (Kiss Me Kate).
Wyrelife popped along to a rehearsal at the New Meeting House in the heart of Kidderminster to chat with cast members Ryan Donnell, who plays lovable rogue Jimmy Smith, and Jill Parmenter, who plays the wicked Mrs Meers, while also catching an earful of the music score performed by the live band.
Tickets are on sale now – if you’ve not made it to a KODS show before, now is the perfect opportunity to support local talent!
